Her story (as shared by her nominator)

Amazing Speech therapist, who has helped many children and families navigate the challenges faced by children with learning disabilities. She successfully grew a flourishing practice, moving from providing just speech therapy to offering school support. Had to scale down for health reasons, but has renewed her entrepreneurial journey with a focus on helping families that wish to homeschool their children. Champions child-centred learning that adapts to the needs and harnesses the strengths of each individual child.

 

She is truly passionate about advocating for the child and is fearless in challenging conventional wisdom. She also works relentlessly to walk her talk.  Personality-wise, she is a ball of energy who radiates positivity.

Greatest achievement

No single achievement stands out, it is more a community of children's lives that I have had a chance to change the trajectory of over 30 years in different ways, whether through my original profession of speech therapy, or via counselling or my role as a bespoke educator.

 

Biggest challenge thus far

Starting my business again after a serious cancer diagnosis with renewed purpose and faith.
